Overview:

Responsible for operations at Mercy Hospital location. Develops plans to increase productivity, quality, innovation, and patient/coworker satisfaction. Communicates and collaborates with others to enhance teamwork, resolve problems and identifies opportunities to improve performance. Develops plans to improve performance regarding budget, iVantage and other benchmarks. Guides performance appraisals (AoS) include development plans for direct reports, managers, and supervisors.

Job Description:

  • Operations Management: Develops plans to increase productivity, quality, innovation, and patient/coworker satisfaction. Ensures development plans to include formation for directors, managers and supervisors.
  • Recommends development or revision of organizational structure, technology, policies, and procedures.
  • Measures and maintains a standards and measures for reliability of services provided.
    Planning & Goal Management: Plans and organizes operations and work flow to assure optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establishes effective working relationships with clinical, administration, other departments. Communicates and collaborates with others to enhance teamwork, resolve problems and identifies opportunities to improve performance.
  • Fiscal Management: Organizes and finalizes budget including UOS, capital, operating and labor budgets.
  • Implements controls and corrective action based on fiscal goals.
  • Develops plans to improve performance regarding budget, iVantage and other benchmarks. Leadership & Human Resource Management: Directs hiring, transfer, promotion, discipline and termination to include strategies for improving coworker retention.
  • Guides performance appraisals (AoS) include development plans for direct reports, managers, and supervisors.
  • Ensures direct reports, managers and supervisors have a well defined formation plan and process to activate coworker engagement with our Mission

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Five (5) years of healthcare leadership experience for those meeting degree requirements. In lieu of degree, 10 years of
    leadership experience in an applicable healthcare setting.
  • Required Education: HS diploma and Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree, as outlined below.
  • Preferred Education: Masters degree. (MBA, MHA, MPA preferred)
