ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY Cybersecurity Analyst Central Office (Waco, Texas) SUMMARY OF POSITION: The primary purpose of this position is to support the information security activities of the Brazos River Authority (BRA). Responsibilities include: assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of cybersecurity processes and controls; supporting the deployment and patching of infrastructure and devices; responding to alerts; helping assess business needs against security concerns and escalating issues to management as needed; monitoring essential processes to support compliance with policies, procedures, best practices, and industry standards; assisting in the evaluation and implementation of cybersecurity solutions; supporting the incident response plan and recovery efforts; contributing to the implementation of safeguards to enhance system resiliency; providing responsive customer service to staff; participating in cybersecurity awareness training efforts; working closely with users to troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities for improving business processes; assisting with audit-related tasks; maintaining program documentation and reporting on the effectiveness of IT security measures. Responsibilities also include working with IT on endpoint protection and intrusion prevention systems; supporting compliance of servers, network operations, and applications with security policies and procedures; collaborating with the Cybersecurity Manager on internal cybersecurity projects and other duties as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: A minimum three years of progressive cybersecurity management experience At least one of the following certifications is required:

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $78,394.00 to $101,912.00 annually. This is an exempt position. POSTING DATE October 1, 2025. Open until filled. Today, BRA's staff develops and distributes water supplies, provides water and wastewater treatment, monitors water quality, and pursues water conservation through public education programs.
