Your Tasks
Lead and deliver billable building-performance projects: energy modeling (LEED, code compliance, energy audits), Whole-Building LCA (WBLCA), new-construction commissioning, and decarbonization models for new and existing buildings.
Own modeling and commissioning from schematic design through operations; guide design teams to achieve high-performance targets.
Analyze energy, water, waste and related data; produce clear, client-focused technical reports with recommendations tied to objectives.
Coordinate with owners, OPMs, property managers, building engineers, architects, and contractors; conduct remote and on-site work and information gathering.
Execute quality-control reviews of models, calculations, and deliverables; standardize templates and assumptions for consistency.
Manage junior/mid-level engineers' onboarding, training plans, quarterly goal checks, and performance reviews; promote innovation and new services.
Research and pilot AI/scripting and advanced workflows to improve team efficiency and expand capabilities.
Your Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; PE license (preferably NY). 7+ years delivering complex energy models and commissioning for commercial/industrial clients.
Track record: 30+ simulation projects to ASHRAE 90.1/LEED/local code; commissioning and energy audits for commercial/industrial buildings.
HVAC systems proficiency; familiarity with BMS/BAS and building systems integration.
Software: Revit, AutoCAD, OneClick LCA; energy tools IESVE (10+ final deliveries) and eQuest (20+ final deliveries).
Ability to interpret architectural/MEP drawings and specs; analyze data and recommend actions.
Excellent written and verbal communication; highly organized with strong documentation control.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and modern collaboration tools.

Additional Information
Work model to be defined with the hiring team (on-site/hybrid/remote); role includes travel to client sites for field verification, commissioning, and stakeholder meetings.
