We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Social Media & Digital Engagement to own and elevate our social presence across a diverse portfolio of leading beverage, dessert, and snacking brands. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in CPG experience social and digital, and a proven track record of concepting and scaling impactful campaigns that break through the clutter.

This is a high-visibility, game-changing role within our marketing department - one that will redefine how our brands show up in the digital space. The individual will be both strategist and creator, setting the long-term vision while rolling up their sleeves to produce content, engage communities, and drive bold campaigns that spark conversation and consumer connection.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Strategy & Leadership



  • Develop and implement a disruptive, culture-shaping social media strategy that drives brand awareness, engagement, and conversion across the portfolio.
  • Manage, hire, and coach a best-in-class social team that breaks ground on what it means to be "social-first"
  • Partner with Brand Marketing, Digital Commerce, and external agencies to align social initiatives with product launches, sponsorships, and retail activations.
  • Position the social function as a core driver of innovation, influence, and growth within the marketing department.


Content Creation & Storytelling



  • Concept, create, and edit content (photo, video, short-form, graphics) while directing the Social Media Content Creators to execute at scale.
  • Deliver bold, breakthrough campaigns that capture cultural relevance and inspire consumer action.
  • Oversee editorial calendars, ensuring content is timely, on-trend, and optimized for each platform.
  • Build brand storytelling that sparks conversation, builds affinity, and generates virality.
  • Community & Influencer Engagement
  • Lead best-in-class community management, ensuring authentic, two-way conversations with consumers.
  • Build and manage influencer/creator partnerships, integrating their voices into disruptive brand campaigns.
  • Spot cultural and category trends early, positioning our brands as leaders in the digital conversation.


Analytics & Optimization



  • Define and monitor KPIs (reach, engagement, virality, conversions, sentiment) to measure impact.
  • Translate insights into action, continuously pushing the boundaries of what social can deliver.
  • Connect social performance to broader business results including In-Store, Amazon, Walmart.com, TikTok Shop, and DTC growth.


QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or brand communications.
  • CPG experience required, Food & Beverage industry strongly preferred.
  • Proven success in concepting and scaling viral, disruptive campaigns.
  • Hands-on content creation expertise (video, photography, editing tools, Adobe/Canva/CapCut).
  • Deep knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.

BENEFITS & SALARY

The Jel Sert Company is committed to pay transparency and will provide further compensation information during the interview process. The minimum compensation for the Director of Social Media & Digital Engagement is $130,274 annually. This position is also eligible for the EBIT Bonus program. Compensation is determined by a candidate's experience, education, skills, training, and the internal equity within our organization. Actual compensation to be paid will be determined upon an offer. In addition to a competitive compensation package, regular full-time corporate employees of Jel Sert are eligible for our extensive benefits programs that can be reviewed here.
