Position Summary
The state's Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services, and Division of Health Benefits contracts with CIDD to coordinate the NCI project (https://www.nationalcoreindicators.org/). Each year, CIDD interviewers complete approximately 700 interviews of North Carolina residents with intellectual/ developmental disabilities, and 650 with older adults and those with physical disabilities. The purpose of the interviews is to assess outcomes of services provided to individuals and families. Indicators address key areas of interest including employment, rights, service planning, community inclusion, choice, and health and safety.

Interviews will be completed remotely via Zoom or in person. In-person interviewing will depend primarily on preference of consumers being interviewed. For in-person interviewing, interviewers must provide their own transportation to interview sites, which may include individual homes, workplaces, or public facilities. Location and date/time of interview will be determined by the consumer and/or guardian, so may include evenings or weekends.
