Position Summary: The Materials Operations Supervisor is responsible for the Material Operations at the centralized distribution facility (CDF) The Supervisor interfaces with the CDF Manager to fulfill material needs. In addition, the Supervisor coordinates performing the functions as set forth in the General Maintenance Manual and schedules Material Specialists in conjunction with stock requisition requirements as needed to support the greater system material operation network. Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage the workflow of all Material Specialists stationed at the CDF
- Compliance with all relatable manuals and requirements stated in said manuals (GMM, Materials Shipping Manual, HAZMAT Shipping manual, etc.)
- Oversee all stock in the CDF and support other departments with material needs
- Monitor the Material Specialists that oversee the storage of material stock at assigned facilities
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Three (3) years' experience in a leadership role or one (1) year of leadership experience in Materials
- One (1) year of prior Materials Specialist or Warehouse experience
- Pass and maintain rating and be able to drive forklifts ((four) K to 18 (eighteen) K) tugs, trucks, and other vehicles
- Successfully pass the Materials and General Maintenance Manual (GMM) training courses. Depending on location you may be required to pass an International Air Transport Association (IATA) or Department of Transportation (DOT) approved Hazardous Material Training Course and maintain recurrent training of the course
- Ability to use handheld two way radios, headsets and/or phone
- Available for overnight travel (50%)
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge for all Blue Material cities
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets JetBlue Airways' insurance standards
- Must be in possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
- Pass Hazardous Material Training Course
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a team environment

- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management
- One (1) year of Materials Lead experience
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Equipment:

- Elevated noise levels in terminal areas and outdoor conditions
- On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in support of the stations for which they hold responsibilities
