We invite you to become part of a stable and rapidly expanding organization committed to valuing its team members. Dayton Parts is actively seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Harrisburg, PA facility.


In this vital role, you will ensure optimal operation and upkeep of equipment through preventative maintenance and timely repairs, primarily focusing on supporting our production floor. Your maintenance expertise will contribute significantly to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.


Candidates must possess industrial maintenance experience to be considered for this opportunity.

Primary Duties

  • Perform comprehensive preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery including shears, punch presses, furnaces, and forging equipment applying strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills.
  • Demonstrate extensive operational knowledge of machinery to ensure uninterrupted production process and to support supervisors in maintaining workflow efficiency and quality output.
  • Champion safety protocols and company policies by setting a positive example and encouraging adherence among team members.
  • Support new employee onboarding by providing hands-on training and sharing technical knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation on productivity metrics, safety compliance, maintenance activities, and any operational issues to inform management decisions.
  • Collaborate with management to recommend improvements in mechanical processes and maintenance procedures, contributing insights to enhance operational reliability and safety standards.
  • Be flexible with work hours, including availability for overtime as production demands require.
  • Participate in company-led leadership and technical training sessions conducted outside regular work hours to support ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will bring a solid foundation in industrial maintenance, possessing robust troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You should be comfortable interpreting electrical schematics and hydraulic diagrams, following preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, and utilizing computer-based tools to manage maintenance workflows.


Experience or familiarity with AC frequency drives, welding, machine shop fabrication, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable. Education / Experience

  • A minimum of five years' experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating increasing responsibilities is required.
  • Expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting all building systems, including electrical and HVAC.
  • Solid understanding of occupational health and safety practices and compliance regulations is essential.
  • Proven leadership capabilities including effective planning, decision-making, and communication skills to lead teams and work extended or flexible hours.
  • Proficiency with computer operations related to maintenance management systems.
  • High school diploma is required; a vocational degree or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.


Professional certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or HVAC certification are a plus and may enhance candidacy.
