This Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for document production in litigation responding to subpoenas, assisting on production where necessary, organizes and drafts audit reports, analyzes and summarizes legal documentation, performs legal research, manages litigation dockets and helps contribute to effective legal services. Will work independently, prioritize and deliver against deadlines, across multiple workstreams. Manage and conduct document production in legal proceedings, including but not limited to document review for relevance and risk, redaction, and creation of privilege logs. Support the Digital Forensics Specialist in managing the legal hold process for all of Law Organize, assess, manage, and maintain all the electronic discovery shared between parties during the discovery process of a legal proceeding. With the Digital Forensics Specialist, manage document retention for each BU within the organization. Coordination of filings and responses. Outside Counsel coordination & fees management. Calendar upkeep. Manage assigned litigation files by working directly with the in-house attorneys, business units, outside and opposing counsel. Draft Reports, including audit reports, for ongoing litigation. Draft legal documents and correspondence such as petitions, settlement agreements, letters and memoranda. Provide support to lawyers advising on employee relations issues, such as gathering relevant records and information. Respond to administrative agencies; draft position statements on legal issues and fact situations (for example, EEOC responses, and demand letters).
Who You Are:
Paralegal with 2-4 years paralegal experience, or a combination of paralegal certification and relevant experience. Experience in litigation, employee relations/employment law support, and/or corporate matters preferred Undergraduate Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience Knowledge of US legal system, including federal and state court systems and legislative and administrative systems and substantive, procedural, public, private and civil law; the ability to identify sources of US law Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Database and presentation skills. Microsoft Office Suite to include, MS Word, Teams, SharePoint, Excel and Power Point Extensive knowledge of and familiarity with one or more electronic discovery tools.
