- Manages food and product development projects in cooperation with marketing, operations, quality assurance and CSCS.
- Utilizes external vendor resources to inform future development possibilities.
- Assesses competition, current trends and vendor ideation to create compelling ideas for menu and campaigns.
- Manages food and product development projects in cooperation with marketing, operations, quality assurance and purchasing.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to field test products and operational complexity of new food items.
- Participate in chain-wide implementation of products and programs, participating in all feed-back calls with field operations.
- Conducts ongoing product improvement with test products and with current menu items.
- Support and manage culinary innovation strategy by setting prioritization and resource allocation, balancing short and long term needs/priorities.
- Lead the development and communication of menu initiatives according to the Culinary Innovation strategy.
- Able to travel to conduct extensive product testing including CLT's and in-restaurant testing.
- Oversee and manage Test Kitchen sanitation, inventory and maintenance as needed.
- Align all innovation projects with profitable metrics as a pillar to the Brand strategies and initiatives.
- Works with Culinary Operations to vet operational feasibility of new products and early commercialization by incorporating pattern language, proper plate presentations and support when items need to be adjusted to meet proper complexity goals.
- Utilize Crunchtime for all innovation projects for new product and recipe development with accurate food cost and yielding
- Oversee category management as assigned, attend triad meeting, lead culinary point of view for any inventory initiatives in collaboration with CSCS or contracted services.
- Ensure collaboration with the Culinary operations and commercialization dept early in the development process to vet the operational complexity of items being developed.
Responsibilities:
- Culinary Leadership: You have a proven track record of at least 4 years in a leadership role within the culinary industry, showcasing your ability to effectively manage and lead large-scale culinary operations.
- In-depth Knowledge of Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Your expertise includes a comprehensive understanding of food safety protocols, quality control, and regulatory compliance, ensuring all operations align with industry standards and regulations.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic plans for culinary operations, optimizing processes, and achieving organizational goals.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing key performance indicators and production data to make informed, data-driven decisions that enhance operational efficiency and exceed performance targets.
- Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Effective communication and collaboration are second nature to you, enabling you to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, culinary staff, and leadership to achieve shared objectives.
