Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our operations team. This role is responsible for the accurate shipping, receiving, routing, and documentation of all materials entering and leaving the facility. The position supports daily logistics functions, including material handling, data entry, inventory control, and compliance with warehouse safety and regulatory standards. Job Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, verify, process, and route incoming materials to the appropriate internal or remote site locations
Accurately enter all material receipts into the Materials Management software system
Notify the Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies between materials received and shipping documentation
Prepare and process outbound shipments, ensuring all required documentation is completed
Manage the Returned Goods process in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Deliver stock to appropriate staging areas and ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of all warehoused materials
Identify and report any materials with less than 30 days of shelf life for corrective action
Support regular cycle counts and full physical inventory processes
Adhere to all company and regulatory policies including OSHA, CLIA, Employee Health and Safety, and Compliance guidelines
Maintain accurate records of all shipping, receiving, and inventory activities
Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling tools
Support order entry, picking, packing, and delivery of both internal and external orders as required
Assist with mail processing, record storage, and retrieval as assigned
Recommend and assist with process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy
Perform additional duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of six months of experience in materials management, shipping, or warehouse operations required
Data entry experience preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and warehouse management systems
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Strong communication, problem-solving, and recordkeeping abilities
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to operate forklifts and other powered material-handling equipment safely (forklift experience required)
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in fast-paced environments

Safety Requirement:
Safety shoes required - lace-up only (no pull-ons or loafers)
Steel toe required; metatarsal protection not necessary
Athletic styles acceptable; high slip resistance preferred
Waterproof/oil resistance not required
One-day compliance leniency policy upon arrival
Compliance: Must follow all safety and operational policies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
