7:00 am - 3:30 pm with flexibility Monday - Friday Safety - Learn, implement and comply with all Safety, Ergonomics, and Management of Change activity in support of site safety goals. Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) may be required for this role. If it is deemed necessary Client will provide the appropriate training and certification. Process and Work Instructions Generate and maintain Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Work Instructions per the MSOP standards. Create and Update Oracle ERP routings as needed for products. Inspection Identify when/where there is a need for standard or special gauging, and special equipment/tooling for production. Problem Resolution Provide timely support in resolving manufacturing issues in the production area. Complete NCRs (Non Conformance Reports) in accordance with MSOP standards and with the cross functional team. Process Optimization Improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE) as needed. Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and variation in processes focused on improving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Support 5S and visual management efforts in manufacturing areas. Work Cell Design Assist in developing Work Cell Design, Integration and Validation if required. Communication and Teamwork Work with a cross functional team including Quality Eng, Design Eng, Tool Design Group and production (technicians and supervisors) to improve workflow, through-put, quality, and safety. Build working relationships within the cross functional team and leverage them to identify necessary continuous improvement opportunities. Attend all face-to-face cell meetings, customer calls, team meetings as required. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution * Minimum of 2 years of professional experience, in a Manufacturing environment with hand assembly, mechanical fasteners, and some testing. * This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee or Refugee * Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future The following qualifications are preferred * Experience in developing and supporting Electrical / Electro - mechanical product manufacturing and assembly processes, welding (TIG, Electron Beam), vacuum furnace brazing, machining experience. * Practitioner of Lean Manufacturing and Visual Control implementations * Experience in developing tooling used in the assembly of Mechanical and Electrical Products * Understanding of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principals * Knowledge and use of PFMEAs (Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) within Manufacturing * Experience with Continuous Improvement and root cause problem solving activities |
