Maintenance Technician
We are looking for an exceptional individual to be responsible for the following tasks:
- Responsible for troubleshooting, repair or replacement of equipment found in wet processing and spray dry production facilities.
- Responsibilities include maintaining typical utility systems (water, air, steam, chilled water & glycol cooling systems & related equipment, etc.)
- Interpreting isometric drawings, P&IDs, schematics and equipment drawings related to pumps, valves, agitators, motors, chillers, air compressors.
- Perform troubleshooting tasks - electrical, mechanical - including three-phase, single-phase, control circuits, motors, switches, brakes and gearboxes
- Problem solving, root cause analysis, system design & construction
- Data tracking & entry in SAP (labor hours, parts, detailed comments)
- Recognizes the need for and provides assistance beyond your core work area to drive improvement.
- Demonstrates a commitment to safety, personal integrity and accountability.
- Maintains a positive attitude while being self-motivated.
You are qualified if you have the following education, experience, skills, and attributes:
- A.A. in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related field preferred.
- Previous industrial maintenance experience; troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, systems.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Instrumentation and Control Systems.
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders along with the ability to work above floor surface (heights).
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Vessel entry and confined space capable.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
- Excellent Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
- Strong team player with an ability to work with all functional teams within the plant.
- Self-starter with good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize and lead group discussions.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including an on-call schedule, overtime, evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed.
