JOB TITLE: Computer Support Specialist (Tier II Desktop Support)

CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active Top Secret (SCI eligibility required prior to start)

AGENCY SUPPORTED: DOJ NSD - National Security Division

POSITION INFORMATION: Full-Time Position; Government contractor supporting DOJ NSD

LOCATION: Washington, DC (onsite)

POSITION TIMING: Must obtain SCI before starting (processing typically 2-4+ weeks)

About the DOJ National Security Division (NSD)

The NSD is responsible for advancing the Department of Justice's top priority: combating terrorism and other threats to national security. The Infrastructure Support and Software Development Services division provides full IT support across infrastructure, operations, engineering, software development, and service desk functions.



Responsibilities

As a Tier II Desktop Support Specialist, you will:

    Provide troubleshooting support for desktop hardware, software, and networking issues (including endpoint patching).
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance for PCs and printers.
  • Assist end users with approved desktop applications and software.
  • Deliver initial and refresher training to users on computer systems and applications.
  • Support Tier I Service Desk escalations by providing Tier II-level assistance.
  • Set up and configure desktop systems, monitors, keyboards, mice, KVM switches, and printers.
  • Image new desktops with the latest approved baseline and reimage existing systems when needed.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Help Desk/Desktop Support experience.

  • Active Top Secret clearance (with ability to obtain SCI).

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred

  • Infrastructure or Networking certifications strongly preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
