Job Summary

TDIndustries is seeking a skilled Journeyman Service Electrician to join our Austin Service team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will be licensed, safety-focused, customer-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced service environment.


Essential Duties

  • Perform service, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and institutional facilities.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, ensuring timely and effective repairs.

  • Install new electrical components, wiring, panels, lighting, and equipment according to NEC codes and company standards.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and system inspections to ensure reliability and safety.

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates and recommendations for repairs and improvements.

  • Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.

  • Mentor and assist apprentices as needed.


Minimum Requirements

  • Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License required.

  • 3+ years of commercial electrical service experience preferred.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls daily.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

  • Familiar with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying environments (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold conditions).

  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and work at heights as required.
