We are seeking a Director of Product Management for Isolere Bio, a division of Donaldson and home to the proprietary IsoTag technology-a purification solution that delivers better-than-affinity performance to bioprocessing without the chromatography column. This high-visibility role will lead product strategy, portfolio management, and market execution as we expand our offerings and bring differentiated technologies to market.

This role will own process from concept to launch, providing strategic direction and cross-functional leadership with R&D, Engineering, Program Management, Marketing, and Quality. This role will also evaluate novel technologies to grow the portfolio, optimize commercialization processes, and deliver customer value. Ideal candidates are collaborative, entrepreneurial, and results-driven, with a passion for advancing downstream bioprocessing solutions. Qualified candidates must be able to work out of our Durham, NC office.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate cross-functional leadership to execute the vision and develop the strategy of the IsoTag product portfolio.

  • Manage the IsoTag portfolio of products with P&L responsibility, revenue and margin targets, managing all aspects of the business including strategy, product life cycle, etc.

  • Define market requirements and synthesize customer input by conducting VOC and market research to understand key market trends, use cases, customer requirements, user and buyer persona and competitive activities across geographies and market segments.

  • Work closely with R&D to define product requirements for new product development and improvement on existing products. Work closely with Marketing and Commercial to define go-to-market strategy for global product launch activities, including positioning, value proposition, sales training, collateral, and demand generation strategies.

  • Develop product business plans for the product portfolios, including product pricing and forecasted sales. Create business plans for development projects that translate product ideas into commercially effective solutions.

  • Identify market trends and opportunities in the field of bioprocessing purification. Provide data related to competitors, the market, product and capability positioning.

  • Support external evaluation, open innovation, and potential internal and external collaborations to enable a complete product offering.

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with commercial team members to ensure that product offerings and positioning meet critical customer needs.

  • Be the business expert. Function as the point of contact for questions and problem solving for internal business partners and external customers.

  • Assist with additional responsibilities as needed.

Travel: Up to 25%

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or related field.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in life sciences industry.

  • 5+ years of experience in product management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's, PhD, or MBA in science or engineering field

  • Experience in, or knowledge of bio-pharmaceutical product cycles and production processes, with working knowledge of cGMP regulations.

  • Results-oriented with a high degree of urgency.

  • Team-oriented - ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams and proven ability to work globally.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills, business acumen, learning agility, network leadership, and stretched experience as well as passion for continuous improvement.

  • Experienced ability to work in a fast-paced environment - comfortable making decisions and embracing change.

Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
