VP of Business Development

The Vice President of Business Development will create and execute strategies that drive revenue growth, expand market share, and ensure a superior customer experience. This role requires a deep understanding of the compressed air market, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex relationships with key customers, distribution partners, and internal teams.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to identify and pursue new market opportunities, segments, and growth initiatives.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business decisions and refine strategic direction.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with major original equipment manufacturer (OEM) clients, distributors, and end-users to secure new business and increase market penetration.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate sales teams to achieve or exceed revenue and profitability targets.
• Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation and contract negotiation to closure and account management.
• Collaborate with the marketing department to create effective promotional materials and sales strategies that highlight the company's value proposition.
• Manage sales forecasts, budgets, and resource allocation to optimize sales performance.
• Oversee the aftermarket services strategy, including repairs, field service, upgrades, and parts sales, to generate profitable growth.

What You'll Need:

• Proven track record of at least 10 years in business development or sales within the industrial equipment sector, with significant leadership experience. Specific experience in the compressor or rotating equipment market is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field is required, with an MBA or advanced degree often preferred.
• Solid understanding of technical products, applications, and customer needs within the compressor or vacuum technology industry.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to identify growth opportunities and execute strategic initiatives.
• Willingness to travel frequently to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and manage business development activities.
