Internship Position for Engineering Students | St. Louis, MO | 6 -8 Weeks
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated engineering student for a 6-8 week internship in St. Louis, MO. The intern will play a key role in assembling and building an automated animal training and detection system, contributing to both the mechanical and software aspects of the project. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in robotics, prototyping, and system documentation.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the mechanical assembly and construction of an automated animal training system.
* Help design, develop, and integrate custom software to control system operations.
* Work with a variety of hardware components including sensors, cameras, Raspberry Pi, and other electronics.
* Perform soldering, 3D printing, and prototyping tasks as needed.
* Collaborate on the selection and integration of various mechanical and electronic components.
* Create comprehensive documentation for the product, including:
o Assembly instructions
o Troubleshooting guides o Technical schematics
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Current enrollment in an engineering program (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or related fields preferred).
* Experience or coursework in robotics, electronics, and/or mechatronics.
* Familiarity with soldering, 3D printing, and prototyping techniques.
* Hands-on experience working with sensors, cameras, Raspberry Pi, and similar hardware platforms.
* Basic programming knowledge (Python or similar languages preferred).
* Ability to create technical documentation and drawings (schematics, instructions, etc.).
* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Other Requirements
* U.S. citizenship
* Must be 18+ years old
* Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
* Must pass a general background check
* Willing to sign a comprehensive non-disclosure agreement
Location
This internship is based in Chesterfield, Missouri. Candidates must be able to work on-site
for the duration of the internship.

6-8 weeks (exact dates to be determined based on mutual availability).
