This position will be based at Las Vegas, NV.

Responsibilities:



  • Monitors critical network elements and applications using various network monitoring systems in a 7X24X365 Network Operations Center (NOC).
  • Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains telecommunications networks in a NOC environment.
  • Tests new and already installed hardware and software.
  • Uses computerized network management systems to check for system alarms when parts of the network are not working properly and jeopardizing the level of communication services available to customers.
  • Follows procedures to validate, troubleshoot and escalate issues.
  • May work second and third shift work and overtime in the event of network outages.
  • Under general supervision, capable of performing all jobs including the most complex.
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practices.
  • Work is checked since errors may cause delay or expense.
  • May assist and train less experienced personnel.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

* High School plus advanced training, and 4 - 5 years of experience.

* 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or NOC operations

Technical Skills

* Working knowledge of AWS security services (GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail, Config)

* Basic understanding of ServiceNow platform and incident management processes

* Familiarity with SIEM platforms and log analysis

* Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems

* Knowledge of common attack vectors and incident response procedures

Core Competencies

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

* Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills

* Ability to work in fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment

* Team player with willingness to learn and adapt

* Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53)

* Previous experience in government or regulated industry environments

* Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms and threat hunting techniques

* Experience with vulnerability management tools and processes

Security Clearance

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

* U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility

The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship.
