The primary purpose of this position is to work closely with the athletic fields supervisor on our management practices; maintain athletic turf-grass to very high expectations; prepare athletic fields and facilities for practices, games, and special events; perform day-to-day maintenance on facilities equipment; and work athletic and specials events as scheduled. Position is assigned to manage baseball field and facilities.

Responsible for all aspects of turf, facility and field maintenance to include:

High school or General Educational Development ( GED) diploma and possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary Special Qualifications: North Carolina Pesticide License may be required and can be obtained within six months of employment; North Carolina Commercial Driver's License may be required.

* Experience in athletic turf & ground management.
* Prior experience with baseball field maintenance.
* Prior experience in athletic turf & ground management.
* Ability to lift up to 30-60 pounds frequently and up to 90 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.

* A valid North Carolina Pesticide License must be obtained within six months of employment.
* A valid NC Driver's License or ability to obtain one within 60 days of start.
* Licenses must be maintained as a condition of employment.
