Other Information: Counseling Program in the College of Education The Counseling Program is located in the Education Sciences and Professional Programs department at the University of Missouri- St. Louis. The department offers master's and doctoral degrees in school and mental health counseling, school, psychology, higher education, and a bachelor's degree in educational studies. The College of Education offers online and in-person classes and its nationally accredited programs are designed and run by award-winning research and teaching faculty and highly qualified staff. The College is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of educational leaders. The faculty and staff work to create flexible pathways for students of all backgrounds and life stages, including adult learners, international students, transfer students, students with disabilities, and more. The College also partners extensively with national and local practitioners in formal and informal educational settings to improve youth learning outcomes and to impact youth and educational systems in positive ways. Counseling programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP); School Psychology programs accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP); and Teacher Education programs are accredited by the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP).
