Precertification Specialist FT Day Paramus

To ensure all appropriate authorizations are recorded for all of the following: Notice of Admission, Pre-Surgical Authorizations, and others as designated. Ensure correct status is in place in conjunction with the function of the Utilization Review RNs and ensure appropriate authorizations are obtained based on those changes.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Basic office skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and software. Ability to maintain confidentiality of the departmental records and use discretion in confidential matters. Ability to communicate effectively (oral and in writing). Ability to effectively interact with customers to meet their needs. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and cooperatively within a team environment. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule while maintaining composure. Ability to recognize and deal with problematic situations, set priorities, make effective decisions, and respond quickly to customer's needs. Good organizational skills and attention to detail required. Ability to share and/or modify work requirements based on the dynamic requirements of the department including additional work as designated by supervisor.
