Genesis10 is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for a 6+ contract position with a manufacturing client located in Oshkosh, WI. Summary: The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will design, analyze, and develop reliable, cost-effective components for heavy-duty vehicles. This role will support engineering projects through design, re-design, validation, and integration of components into existing and new vehicle platforms. The position also includes providing mentorship, technical expertise, and project execution support in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks under supervision, following industry and company standards. Support senior engineers with plans, designs, computation methods, and reporting. Take responsibility for a project or part of a project of limited complexity, potentially managing multiple assignments. Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines, business teams, and external suppliers. Provide mentorship and guidance to entry-level engineers, designers, and technicians. Maintain communication with suppliers, customers, and external resources on technical issues. Ensure adherence to engineering criteria, drawing standards, and company policies. Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability. Prepare layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material. Conduct engineering analysis for selecting parts, components, and materials. Provide technical support to production and resolve reported issues. Prepare proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations. Maintain project documentation for research and historical reference. Apply analytical and mathematical methods to model and optimize system performance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Three (3)+ years of relevant engineering experience. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle systems. Experience with advanced CAD systems. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
