Qualifications:
As the
Project Controls Coordinator III based in Duluth, MN, you will support the successful delivery of engineering and construction capital projects by overseeing project controls planning and execution. This position plays a critical role in cost and schedule integration, forecasting, and performance tracking. You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all project data, budgets, and schedules are accurately managed and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a collaborative, hybrid work environment supporting high-impact infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project controls processes integrating cost, schedule, and performance functions.
- Interface with contractors to deliver training and support for EcoSys LEMs (Labor, Equipment, and Materials), ensuring rate and estimate accuracy.
- Support Project Controls Advisors (PCAs) in setup, validation, and approval of project data and reports.
- Generate analytical dashboards, graphs, and financial summaries to track project performance and forecast trends.
- Assist project managers with scope management, change control, and variance analysis.
- Prepare monthly expenditure reports, work force histograms, and capital cost estimates.
- Monitor project KPIs, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project efficiency.
- Collaborate across finance, engineering, and operations to reconcile field costs against budgets and forecasts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Controls or Project Management, preferably in engineering or construction.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, sumifs, and data visualization).
- Experience with PowerBI, Power Pivot, and EcoSys software preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Oracle/SAP and MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- PMP certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
