Position Summary:

Responsible for installation and service of B Braun products across the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties



  • Maintaining product by way of inspections, testing and re-certifying durable medical equipment according to manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Test and calibrate components and equipment following manufacturer's manuals and troubleshooting techniques, using hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Follow proper protocols for handling clean/dirty equipment, decontamination of equipment and preparation for redistribution and record keeping.
  • Will be responsible for completing repairs onsite at customer location.
  • Will utilize the preferred software for entering Work Order and Non-Work Order activities on a daily basis.
  • Provides technical support to customers for any product issues.
  • Interfaces with various computer programs to complete repair and install orders.
  • Performs preventative and routine maintenance as scheduled.
  • Provides extensive service/repair training to staff on a regular basis
  • Troubleshoots and identifies problems by using electronic testing equipment.
  • Determines backup components to be maintained in stock.
  • Stays up to date on the latest products and repair techniques.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance or service performed and maintain timely trip reports.
  • Attends company in-service education classes
  • Logs all activities into the preferred database
  • Keeps track of all travel receipts and complies with all company policies regarding expensed items.
  • Weekly travel to assigned location



Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc

Required:



  • AA in Electronics or Electronic Technology.
  • Must have IV pump experience
  • Minimum of three years of electronic repair experience.
  • Full scope knowledge of electronics as related to the service and maintenance of B Braun instrumentation to the subassembly level.
  • Can analyze a situation with the information given by the customer and can suggest multiple solutions.
  • Must have the ability to communicate thoughts and information clearly and concisely conveying B Braun policies and products to customers efficiently and accurately.
  • Must be able to travel overnight 50 - 75% of the time.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Vendor credentialing clearances include, but are not limited to, a national criminal background check, drug screening, and immunizations as determined by the vendors, which may include, but are not limited to, Influenza, Hepatitis B Virus, and COVID-19. You must fully comply with the requirements of the Healthcare Customers in your region, including any necessary proof of any vaccination. As such, all individuals in this position assigned to a Healthcare Customer with a COVID-19, Influenza, Hepatitis B Virus, or other vaccination requirement must be fully vaccinated and/or immunized in accordance with the Healthcare Customers' requirements.
