Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electronics Technician to join our production and testing team in Oldsmar, Florida. This position supports the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassembly units. The Electronics Technician will perform detailed diagnostic and repair work to the component level, ensuring all electronic assemblies meet quality and performance standards. This is a second-shift position scheduled Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM. Job Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and maintain test apparatus to evaluate electronic assemblies and subassemblies according to established procedures and specifications
Perform component-level troubleshooting and repair of analog, digital, and RF circuitry using schematic diagrams and test data
Adjust, align, and calibrate assemblies and test equipment as necessary to ensure compliance with performance requirements
Analyze test results to evaluate the functionality and quality of products and recommend corrective actions or improvements
Assemble, inspect, and test production electronic equipment and related components
Utilize hand tools, small power tools, and precision measuring instruments during assembly and testing processes
Document test results, repairs, and equipment adjustments accurately using Microsoft Office Suite and other data collection systems
Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine test procedures for new products and suggest design or process improvements
Ensure compliance with quality standards and production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Monitor and verify product quality through established control procedures and assist in maintaining production efficiency
Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives within the production area
Job Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of direct experience testing electronic assemblies
Proficient in component-level troubleshooting of solid-state, digital, and RF circuits
Strong understanding of electronic theory and micro-circuitry principles
Ability to interpret schematic diagrams and technical documentation to diagnose issues effectively
Experience using test and measurement equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, frequency standards, signal generators, and RF power meters
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data entry software for test documentation
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, production-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and quality
Desired Skills
Extensive RF testing experience
Familiarity with radar systems
Experience with flying probe and high-power testing processes
Education
Work Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, or repair required
Demonstrated ability to perform complex technical or para-engineering tasks in a production environment
