SCOPE/CONTACTS:

The incumbent has frequent contact with customers, consumer and commercial loan officers and other departments. Customer contact is in person, by telephone, and by written correspondence. This position requires the ability to think outside the box for resolutions to difficult situations. Results of work are spotchecked some physical effort required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be knowledgeable of Bank Collecting procedures and related state and federal laws, as well as bankruptcy laws for chapter 7, 11, and 13.
  • Must be able to work without immediate supervision and exercise independent judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to represent the bank with legal matters such as filing judgments at small claims courthouse and with bankruptcies situations and bank attorneys.
  • Must be firm, but fair, with delinquents and provide assistance in handling financial responsibilities.
  • Actively participate in the sales and service culture, support the values of the organization and follow established Bank policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) highly preferred.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • 3 years Bank lending/loan operation experience in an established financial institution required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be dependable, self-motivated, and have a strong sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge in automobiles such as values, sales, and basic mechanical valuation helpful.
  • Must be able to drive a standard transmission and commercial vehicle.
