The Business Development Manager, Game Ready is responsible for driving strategic growth of the Game Ready cold and compression therapy portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.This role will work closely with an established distributor network and Pain Management & Recovery Territory Managers to expand market share, with a strong focus on orthopedic prehabilitation and post-operative recovery.The BDM will also lead initiatives to penetrate new markets including elite and community sporting teams, physiotherapy clinics, and other emerging recovery-focused segments. Key Responsibilities:
1. Distributor Partnership & Enablement
- Collaborate with the ANZ distributors to develop and execute joint business plans.
- Provide sales training, clinical education, and field support to distributor and PM&R Team.
- Monitor distributor performance and support pipeline development and conversion.
2. Orthopaedic Market Development
- Engage with orthopaedic surgeons and surgical teams to position Game Ready as a standard in prehab and post-op recovery.
- Support clinical trials, case studies, and KOL development to build credibility and adoption.
- Partner with hospitals and day surgery centers to integrate Game Ready into enhanced recovery pathways.
3. Sports & Physiotherapy Expansion
- Build relationships with elite and community-level sporting teams to introduce Game Ready as part of injury prevention and recovery protocols.
- Target physiotherapy clinics with tailored value propositions and flexible commercial models.
- Attend conferences and physio association events to drive brand awareness.
4. New Market Identification & Activation
- Conduct market research to identify untapped segments such as military, aged care, occupational health, and wellness centers.
- Develop pilot programs and commercial strategies to test and scale new opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing to create segment-specific messaging and campaigns.
5. Sales Execution & Performance
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets through strategic territory planning and execution.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership on market trends and performance.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Growth in orthopedic segment revenue
- Number of new sporting teams and physio clinics onboarded.
- Distributor sales enablement activities completed.
- New market pilots launched and evaluated.
- Overall Game Ready revenue growth in ANZ.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years in medical device sales, sports medicine, or rehabilitation-focused business development
- Experience working with distributors and channel partners.
- Strong understanding of orthopedic recovery pathways and sports injury management
- Proven ability to identify and activate new market segments.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, health sciences, or related fields preferred.
