Group Leaders assist in the implementation of the weekly production plan by prioritizing work within their group and communicating problems to their manager.



Duties:



  • Coordinates manufacturing of complex systems under direction of operations lead.
  • Provides daily assignments and direct supervision to team associates.
  • Participates in the assembly, debug, and testing of precision mechanical, electrical, and optical subassemblies in complex systems.
  • Assists in the generation of new product or subassembly documentation and work instructions.
  • Provides feedback to engineering regarding errors or omissions in existing documentation via ECRs.
  • Assists in the completion of ERP work order paperwork for proper processing and costing of jobs.
  • Assists in the training of new associates to documented standards and practices.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in engineering technology preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Craftsman skill level with assembly hand tools, light power tools, and electrical measurement tools.
  • Computer skills -- MS Office competency and some CAD experience.
  • Must be able to interpret schematics to build and debug systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to retain communicated information.
  • Ability to guide technicians and assign work
  • Appropriate communication skills to convey information to other associates and supervisors.
