The HR Generalist provides general support to the Director in a wide range of human resource services in the day to day operation of the department. The HR Generalist will primarily focus on human resource programs including recruiting, on-boarding, employee orientation, record keeping, file maintenance, and the day-to-day operations of the HR department, and other duties as assigned such as employee relations and compliance. The HR Generalist will be expected to provide recommendations to HRD to support administrative decisions, using skills and applying knowledge to manage HR-related projects as needed, while ensuring HR activities are in compliance with state and federal laws, licensing and accreditation bodies, and facility contracts. This position requires experience in dealing with high volume recruitment, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for full-cycle recruitment for the facility.
  • Responsible for on-boarding of all new hires.
  • Organizes, presents, and oversees new employee orientation (must be comfortable with public speaking).
  • Maintains personnel files for all employees.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Understanding of state laws and regulations is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current Tennessee Driver's License.
  • PHR or SPHR preferred.

Experience:

  • Two years HR Generalist or Recruiter experience is required, with a strong preference for experience in a hospital/healthcare setting.
  • Experience in high volume recruitment and demonstrated ability to juggle multiple requisitions and candidates is a must.
  • Understanding of the Joint Commission standards and functions strongly preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and take direction is key.
