As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment (i.e. pumps and motors) at various customers sites in the area. What You'll Do:
- Remove and install new rotating equipment.
- Perform maintenance activities on rotating equipment, including equipment alignments.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Tier 1 products at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair <480V motors at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot basic electrical problems and perform motor insulation tests.
- Operate and maintain a service truck. Including maintenance, repairs, tooling, and maintaining material inventory.
- Maintaining necessary driving logs.
- Fill out necessary safety documentation and identify jobsite hazards.
- Communicate with customers.
- Document each assignment, including pictures.
- Continued education and training to meet the needs of an evolving service industry.
- Other duties may be assigned.
What You'll Need:
- 3+ years of experience performing maintenance and repair of rotating equipment, such as submersibles, aerators, blowers, mixers, motors <480V, etc.
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical problems and perform motor insulation tests.
- Ability to read OEM drawings/documents and perform OEM maintenance and preventative maintenance duties.
- Ability to obtain precision measurements using calipers and dial indicators.
- Ability to perform basic equipment alignments.
- Ability to lead and perform basic lifting and rigging operations.
- Ability to perform basic piping modifications including steel and PVC.
- Ability to access secure customer locations (i.e. military bases, ammunition facilities, petroleum refineries, power plants).
- Availability to work shifts outside of normal work schedule, including required OT on weekends and holidays.
- Availability to travel throughout the region with overnight stays.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office; Outlook, Excel and Word) and ability to operate windows-based programs from a tablet, computer, or smartphone remotely.
