Position Summary

The Project Coordinator II is responsible for coordinating the execution of engineering/manufacturing/support projects in order to meet required schedules. Liaison with internal and external groups such as Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, various program groups, customer representatives, and vendors. Responsible for cost, schedule, and bid coordination. Track project cost as directed by Project Managers. Understand and manage deliverables and product purchase orders and schedules.


Duties And Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL:

  • Set up and maintain project files to include essential documentation that includes purchase orders, variation orders, meeting minutes and action items.
  • Assist with the entry of contract and milestones for billing and invoicing. Coordinate with accounting to establish Contract and Project ID. Gather documentation for kick-off milestones and work with accounting to invoice customers.
  • Weekly preparation of activity reports, WIP reports and Purchase commitment reports. Prepare cost reports for Project Managers .
  • Reconcile differences in cost to budget by working with various department to resolve.
  • Coordinate project activities with clients, contractors and internal functional organizations.
  • Compile data, prepare purchase requisitions and maintain reporting requirements.
  • Work with other departments to finalize shipment of goods including shipping documents and physical inventory of parts prior to shipping to clients as required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Management, Operations Management, Project Management, Psychology, Human
  • Resources from an accredited university. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC) for port access

DESIRED:

  • Knowledge of Peoplesoft desired.
  • Experience with coordinating or supervising complex organizational systems or projects preferred.
