Walters Wholesale Electric, an affiliate of USESI, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Branch Manager to join our team. This position will be located in our New Haven, CT location.
The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) provides leadership and operational management for branch employees, supporting sales growth, profitability, and staff development. This role ensures efficient daily operations, outstanding customer service, and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Branch Manager in setting and achieving branch financial and operational goals.
* Provide effective leadership by coaching, mentoring, hiring, and training branch staff.
* Deliver excellent service to customers in person and by phone while promoting a positive work environment.
* Drive sales growth and expand the customer base, including counter and project sales.
* Oversee daily operations such as order processing, cash handling, and warehouse activities.
* Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure operational efficiency.
* Develop and execute strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and profitability.
* Collaborate with senior management to achieve business objectives and resolve operational challenges.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
* Prior supervisory experience, preferably in the electrical wholesale industry.
* Previous experience in inside sales or branch operations required.
* Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and business systems such as Eclipse.
* Highly organized, dependable, and adaptable to a team environment.
