A seasonal Sip and Swirl Holiday Tasting Room Associate job in Woodinville, WA is available at Chateau Ste. Michelle. As a Sip and Swirl Tasting Room Associate, you set the tone for the winery experience and will ensure that every guest feels a positive and genuine connection with the winery. You will be welcoming guests to Sip and Sleigh! During this experience, you might be pouring wine for food and wine pairings or whisking guests away in a holiday sleigh to tour the property with all the holiday delights. All guests should be greeted in a gracious, friendly, welcoming manner and this role must maintain an accommodating attitude as a representative of the company.

This is a seasonal, part-time hourly role that is eligible for tips. This is a seasonal opportunity that typically continues from October through December, or as seasonal business needs require. This role requires availability on evenings and weekends to support Sip and Sleigh.

Sip and Swirl Holiday Tasting Room Associate job responsibilities include:

• Greet all arriving and departing guests warmly to create a positive first and last impression.
• Welcome guests and sign them up for Sip and Sleigh.
• Be friendly, courteous, and capable of interacting with a wide variety of personalities in a professional and polite manner, with an eagerness to meet the needs of every guest.
• Provide accurate information about the company and winery to visiting guests. as well as over the phone.
• Share precise details about our wine club and mailing lists while encouraging guests to sign up.
• Drive festively decorated golf carts across the property to shuttle guests and supplies.
• Showcase food and wine pairings for our guests at the different holiday stations around the property.
• Operate POS/registers to sell wine, merchandise, wine club memberships and to collect wine tasting fees.
• Learn product information to assist guests with making selections and purchases.
• General housekeeping duties to ensure the appearance and cleanliness of the tasting room are up to or exceed standards.
• Assisting with all elements of winery and private event set up, execution, and break-down as instructed by the tasting room management team.
• Supporting management with the effective, tactful, and professional enforcement of various winery policies regarding guest use of the facility.
• Various closing and mid-shift duties.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and non-traditional business hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Position Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• MAST Class 12 Permit and Food Handler's Permit required.
• 2+ years of customer service experience required (retail/hospitality preferred).
• Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, sales skills, and the ability to prioritize while handling multiple tasks.
• Interest in, or knowledge of, wine and wine industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Point of Sales (POS) systems and basic computer skills required.
• Must be flexible and available to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Your Compensation:

$16.92 - $22.12 per hour based upon relevant experience.
