Parking-Operations at Georgia State University is seeking a Director, Parking & Transportation Specialist to join our team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Verifies contracts are paid accurately based on current contract negotiations. Website stays current with contract.
  • Has familiarity with Board of Regents regulations for parking fees and annual updates, Requests updates to rates as needed to support operations for the University.
  • Hires and evaluates employees as needed to support parking and transportation operations. Stays within personnel budget or requests budget amendments as needed. Maintain adequate coverage at various parking locations to ensure consistency in parking operations. Assures accuracy of time reporting for employees and approves timely.
  • In coordination with the Sr. Parking & Transportation Director, prepares an annual budget for parking services. Monitors the budget on a monthly basis and responds to variances appropriately.
  • Keeps current on parking trends in the University industry
  • Oversees and understands the parking IT systems in place running parking operations and enforcement. Stays current on technology and makes recommendations for updates and replacements.
  • Provides excellent customer services. Works with all units of the University and in particular Athletics, Welcome Center, visitors, etc. Performs other duties as may be needed by the department of the University.
  • Provides management and administrative oversight for parking operations at all campus locations. Ensures updates as needed for the special programs and events. (Stadium Operations, PC Events, Filming, etc.)
  • Works with Campus Services Administration to keep contracts current and ensures annual renewals are timely.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and six years of supervisory/management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • At least five or more years' parking management experience within medium/large university setting

  • AIMS & TIBA experience

  • Experience managing parking decks in an urban environment

  • Excellent customer service skills
