Description
In this role, you'll lead the design of market rules and processes that bring MISO's Market Vision to life. You'll help ensure our wholesale electric markets remain reliable, efficient, and ready for the challenges of tomorrow's energy landscape. You'll guide a talented team, collaborate across departments, and work closely with stakeholders and the Independent Market Monitor to develop innovative solutions that advance market efficiency and grid reliability. Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge. The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $160,000-$182,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience. Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met. PhD (preferred)
Masters (preferred) Bachelors of Economics (required) Bachelors of Business Administration (required) Bachelors of Electrical Engineering (required) Experience
Experience in electricity markets design, implementation and operation; development of computational methods in power system analysis and operation, market clearing engines or electricity pricing. (preferred)
Specific experience within any of the following: resource adequacy policies, wholesale and/or retail market design, electric and/or gas utility resource procurement, electric transmission and/or generation development, market operations or market monitoring preferably in the electric utility industry. (preferred) Familiarity with NERC and FERC regulatory compliance requirements, as well as CIP and SSAE 16 compliance (required) A proven track record of leading teams or stakeholder groups through complex challenges (required) The ability to write and present technical information clearly to diverse audiences - from regulators to executives (required) 1 years: Prior supervisory experience, plus strong budgeting and forecasting skills (required) 7 years: Job related experience, which could include: policy development, regulatory processes at the state or federal level, or similar.
