This position is located at Patrick Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL.

This position is not eligible for a hybrid or telecommuting schedule. Tasks for this position must be performed on-site.

Essential Functions

  • Analyze, log, track, and resolve basic software/hardware anomalies pertaining to networked workstations and printers
  • Perform imaging and configuration tasks for .MIL Standard Desktop Configured (SDC) NIPR/SIPR workstations
  • Perform hardware/software installations and upgrades to ensure workstation performance
  • Review weekly PC vulnerability lists and apply appropriate resolution
  • Diagnose and resolve common PC issues
  • Interface with all levels of RGNext
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Ability to work in a fluid environment with excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a diverse, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with employees
  • Ability to meet deadlines under critical time and cost constraints

Required Experience

  • High School Diploma; Associate's degree or two-year technical school or military training in Information Technology preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience working with hardware/software installations, imaging, troubleshooting and vulnerability assessments
  • Basic knowledge of desktop computer systems
  • Ability to analyze, implement, and document PC hardware and software problems
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft Office applications

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, squat and maneuver in tight spaces
  • Local travel between Patrick Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Kennedy Space Center and the Jonathan Dickinson Missile Tracking Annex in Jupiter, FL
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • DoD 8570 Certification (Security+ CE), or ability to obtain and maintain certification within 60 days of employment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship. Current clearance preferred.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License
  • Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement
