OverviewMicrosoft Azure provides customers with a scalable, on-demand infrastructure and platform to build, host, and operate services across a global network of data centers. At the core of this ecosystem is the Azure Compute platform, which oversees the health and lifecycle of millions of virtual machines, containers, and the underlying host infrastructure.Within Azure Compute, the PilotFish Core team is responsible for developing distributed, high-scale foundational services that support the platform's core operations. These systems enable other infrastructure components to function with high performance and scalability. Currently, our platform manages over 13 million servers globally, serving both internal Microsoft teams and external customers. As part of a fast-growing research and development organization, we deliver critical production scenarios while also exploring new ideas. As a Software Engineer on our team, you will gain deep insights into the architecture of large-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms. You will have the opportunity to work across the full development lifecycle from prototyping and design to testing and release while building hands-on experience with customer-focused solutions.
