DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, the CCL Cardiovascular Technologist is responsible for scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating during diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the OR Hybrid Room. The technologist assists the professional nursing staff in preparing patients for procedures, ensures the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of all equipment and supplies, and demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy and hemodynamic monitoring.

Additional responsibilities include documenting procedural events, performing hemodynamic calculations, and maintaining established quality control standards. The technologist also participates in performance improvement activities, assists with patient transportation as needed, and fulfills on-call responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT).

  • Complete certification training from an accredited CVT school.

  • BLS and ACLS at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • PACS, Angiography, Cardiovascular monitoring and ability to achieve competency with auxiliary equipment.

  • One (1) year experience as CVT/RCIS or completion of a CVT certification training from an accredited CVT School or clinical experience, with cardiovascular cath monitoring and auxiliary equipment use for respective positions.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to wear lead apron.
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $128,809 - $128,809 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $61.69 - $61.69

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
