HDR is seeking a Contract Administrator to support a major General Engineering Consultant contract for our client in Tampa, Florida. This role will support client's in-house staff in various procurement processes and will be an embedded position at the client's office. This role requires strong communication, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively within the client's environment while maintaining company ethics, standards and compliance.

Primary Responsibilities

* Perform Quality Control reviews for various contract documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies including State and Federal contracting and procurement requirements as applicable.

* Review contract documents against project scopes to verify project information and ensure applicable work types are covered

* Assist internal staff with procurement activities including consultant acquisition, contract negotiations, method of payment, and preparing contract documents when needed due to staff shortages

* Provide guidance to train newly hired internal staff as needed

* Exercise independent judgment and analysis of significant issue identification and resolution

* Apply knowledge of contracting concepts, and follow and enforce client requirements

* Coordinate closely with all parties involved

* Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree

* Ability to review and interpret project scopes

* Previous experience with FDOT or FL Turnpike and familiarity with FDOT procurement process

Required Qualifications
  • 7 years contract-related experience; advanced degree or contract certification program may substitute for years of experience
  • Working to expert knowledge of contracting concepts and company and client requirements
  • Professional, self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, with minimal management oversight
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including complex MS Excel spreadsheets with formulas
  • Excellent writing and people skills
  • Strong math, analytical and organizational skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
