SUMMARY:

The T-6 COMBS Data Analyst Lead is responsible for leading data analytics, reporting, and performance tracking for the T-6 Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply (COMBS) program. This role directly supports the Logistics Manager by analyzing supply chain performance, material readiness, demand trends, Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO/TD/TCI) data, and Over & Above (O&A) cost drivers to support informed decision-making across all T-6 COMBS sites.

This position supervises one Data Analyst and is responsible for data accuracy, report development, task delegation, mentorship, and quality control of analytics deliverables. The Data Analyst Lead develops dashboards, KPIs, forecasts, and analytical models to drive operational efficiency, compliance, inventory optimization, and program success. The Data Analyst Lead works closely with Supply Chain, Maintenance Control (for coordination only), Program Management Office (PMO), Finance, and Engineering teams to ensure consistent data visibility and standardized reporting across the enterprise.

JOB DUTIES:

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:



  • Supervise, mentor, and develop one Data Analyst.
  • Delegate analytical tasks and ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Establish data standards, reporting templates, and best practices.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain, inventory, TCTO/TD/TCI, O&A, and operational performance data.
  • Develop dashboards, metrics, and KPIs to track material readiness, demand trends, and logistics performance.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement through data insights.
  • Deliver regular and ad-hoc reports to the Logistics Manager, PMO, and leadership.
  • Track O&A requests, cost drivers, approval metrics, and turnaround times.
  • Provide data to support O&A justifications and submissions to PMO.
  • Analyze cost variances and develop recommendations for efficiency.
  • Support demand forecasting for parts, kits, and material requirements.
  • Analyze usage history, lead times, and consumption patterns.
  • Assist in planning for TCI and technical directive-related material needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency in supply, logistics, and maintenance systems.
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies or gaps.
  • Implement data validation and reconciliation procedures.
  • Provide data and analytics to Supply Chain, Procurement, PMO, Finance, QA, and Engineering.
  • Support Logistics Manager in program reviews, customer briefings, and site performance reports.
  • Develop presentations and executive-level summaries based on analytics.
  • Recommend process improvements based on data findings.
  • Standardize analytics tools and reporting across all COMBS locations.
  • Support audit preparation, compliance reviews, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain documentation, dashboards, and performance archives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support logistics performance and data-driven decision-making.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 3+ years of data analysis, logistics, aviation support, or supply chain analytics required.
    • Experience in military or contractor aviation environment preferred.
    • Experience with COMBS, T-6, or trainer aircraft support program highly desired.
    • Experience leading or mentoring analytical staff preferred.
    • Experience with BI tools, ERP systems, and/or aviation maintenance/supply systems preferred.


  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Required Skills include the ability to:)

    • Strong data analysis and supply chain performance expertise.
    • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a junior analyst.
    • Proficiency in Excel (advanced), Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar tools.
    • Familiarity with aviation logistics and maintenance data (T-6 or military preferred).
    • Understanding of O&A processes, cost tracking, and material disposition.
    • Ability to interpret technical data, inventory records, and operational metrics.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication.
    • Strong organization, task prioritization, and time management.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data.
    • Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams.
