The position will staff a course in Sustainability in the Music Industry. The course will explore core business principles around greening merchandise, touring logistics, and large-scale musical events, while providing education and resources on sustainable practices in production, touring, festivals, and investment to help reduce the industry's environmental impact. Salary will be commensurate with applicant's qualifications and experience. Responsibilities will include individual student teaching supervision and assigned undergraduate courses in the School of Music. Applicants should have an established regional, national, and/or international reputation as a music industry sustainability professional; expertise in environmental and sustainability issues including, but not limited to: ecosystem degradation and loss, biodiversity loss, human population dynamics, renewable and non-renewable energy and resource use, waste disposal; expertise in working with record labels, festivals, artists, and touring around sustainability.
