As
an Inpatient
Graveyard IVAS Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in overnight sterile
compounding operations, ensuring the accurate preparation and timely dispensing
of intravenous medications in accordance with departmental protocols, USP
<797> and <800> standards, California Board of Pharmacy
regulations, and UCLA Health policies. Under general supervision, you will be
responsible for the full scope of IVAS functions, including preparing and
verifying sterile doses, maintaining strict compliance with aseptic technique,
and ensuring all medications are completed by designated deadlines. You will
evaluate medication orders and patient profiles for appropriateness, accuracy,
and safety, while supporting critical clinical functions during overnight
hours. This role demands a high level of precision, accountability, and
commitment to patient safety, contributing directly to quality care during
essential after-hours operations.

Schedule:
overnight
shifts - 7 days on, 7 days off (includes weekends and holidays)

Hourly
Salary Range: $86.32 - $107.31 (Union represented, step based salary
depending on years of experience)

Bargaining
Unit: HX-UPTE

Qualifications

We're seeking a dedicated clinical professional with:

  • Pharm D. degree and current CA Pharmacy license.
  • ASHP-accredited residency (preferred).
  • 2 yearsinpatientpharmacy experience (highly preferred).
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations.
  • Ability to compound intravenous admixtures and other sterile products
