Overview

The Patient Service Representative Supervisor coordinates staffing and activities of Patient Service Support staff for branch facilities with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

Perform essential job functions of Patient Service Representative I, II and III.
Identifies daily staffing needs in accordance with budget and target guidelines. Proactively reviews future schedules (next day, three days, and one week in advance) to anticipate the need for staffing adjustments. Manage and monitor schedules for changes.
Identifies all recurring issues and presents resolution to appropriate party/department.
Assists with maintaining budget parameters while meeting department needs. Provides input to management regarding budget needs.
Recommends and initiates various personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and promotions; make work assignments and review and edit work of direct reports. Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.
Disciplinary action under the guidance of Human Resources and the Patient Care Manager. Payroll. Duties assigned by the Patient Care Manager.
Resolves Customer concerns, questions, and complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action. Reports situation and resolution to supervisor.
Establishes standards for reducing registration errors. Reviews with staff on a regular basis registration errors and initiates necessary training to reduce errors.
Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks. Performs yearly staff evaluations and works to help improve performance, productivity, and professionalism.
Assists staff in dealing with customer service issues and provides timely responses to concerns received from the Patient Relations Department. Assists department leadership in resolving staff work related issues, or assists employees in solving work related issues.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $25.5per hour - $42.59per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
