SUMMARY

This position coordinates the scheduling of all civil equity/emergency matters requiring a hearing or processing (including but not limited to: License Suspensions, Landlord Tenant Eviction/Stay, Injunctions, Tax Matters, and Mental Health hearings) and works in conjunction with other Civil Division Staff. This position requires the exercise of independent judgment and discretion, critical thinking, and is of substantial importance to the operation of the court.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receipt of electronic transfer of filings to the Equity/Emergency worklist generated via the Prothonotary's Office. Creation of praecipes for scheduling. Coordinating, reviewing, monitoring and scheduling of the Civil Equity/Emergency matters is performed. Notices are processed for mailing. Computer generated lists are distributed. Daily follow-up of disposition of orders from the courtroom into the Paperless program. Review of the orders to determine if further scheduling action is needed.
  • Processing of Preliminary Decrees and Stipulations for judicial review.
  • Keep an accurate account of monthly statistics as reported to the Deputy Court Administrator.
  • Interaction with the public regarding filing of paperwork for In Forma Pauperis, License Suspension and Landlord Tenant Eviction matters.
  • Miscellaneous Office duties as assigned.
