Position Summary
The research technician will be responsible for performing lab management duties, ensuring the lab operates safely, take care of ordering. validate lab reagents, perform PCR genotyping and mycoplasma testing of cell lines. The position will also be responsible for maintaining organization of lab records; including safety records, catalogs of cell lines and reagent and perform cell culture and molecular biology experiments under the direction of other lab personnel (Pl, post docs, or students).
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
A strong background in cellular and molecular biology is required. Ability to think independently, maintain detailed records, and communicate effectively are required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Prior experience with mammalian cell culture is strongly preferred.
