Performs warehousing, shipping, and receiving duties. Drives truck over established route to deliver products to customers.

  • Receives, unpacks, examines, and documents incoming shipments.

  • Process and/or returns damaged goods.

  • Moves stock to and from shipping and receiving area to storage area.

  • Prepares and routes merchandise for shipment.

  • Perform back-up delivery driver duties as required.

  • Assists in providing counter sales customer service.

  • Releases daily invoices and completes all required hand written and computer generated documentation on a timely and accurate basis.

  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.

  • Works safely and meets the requirements of all safety procedures and rules as prescribed by State, Federal, and the Company.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cleans inside of truck. Performs routine maintenance checks on truck.

  • Drives truck to deliver gasses and hard goods to customer's place of business. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.

  • Makes deliveries outside of regular route to provide customers with product. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. Collects empty cylinders or rejected or unsold merchandise. Loads truck.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Minimum age: 21 years.

  • Must have: HAZMAT Endorsement

  • Valid Class A CDL driver's license is mandatory.

  • Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.

  • DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.

  • One year of verifiable experience driving similar commercial vehicles within the last five years or completion of an accredited truck driving school program.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse individuals.

  • Ability to work in a drug-free environment.

  • SAP knowledge and basic computer skills is a plus.
