The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support our multidisciplinary research on infectious diseases, virology, and immunology. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong organizational and record-keeping skills, who can efficiently multi-task while maintaining precision and scientific rigor. This role involves both wet lab work and animal model management, with opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge projects involving adeno-associated virus (AAV) biology, immune profiling, and antibody discovery. The primary responsibilities of this position include: participation in day-to-day laboratory research projects under the direction of the Principal Investigator (including experimental set-up, completion, data collection and data analysis) and animal colony management (including animal husbandry, genotyping, phenotyping, and daily monitoring of experimental mice). Skills frequently utilized to complete daily tasks include: basic lab skills (e.g. pipetting, loading a gel), DNA extraction and PCR, flow cytometry, and sterile technique. Additionally, animal husbandry and colony management rely on basic knowledge of genetics (e.g. Mendelian inheritance patterns). Responsibilities
