The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center seeks a highly organized and enthusiastic technician. The primary responsibilities of this position include: participation in day-to-day laboratory research projects under the direction of the Principal Investigator and lab manager. Skills frequently utilized to complete daily tasks include: basic lab skills (e.g. pipetting, loading a gel), phlebotomy, and sterile technique This role involves both wet lab work and animal model management, with opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge projects involving adeno-associated virus (AAV) biology, immune profiling, and antibody discovery A successful candidate will be a self-starter, work well within teams, have excellent organizational and record keeping skills, and be able to multi-task while maintaining precision and quickness.
