Position Title: Assembly
Wage: $17.50 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm (Mon-Thurs) QPS Employment Group has a great Assembly position available at a company in Springfield, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Follow all safety rules and adhere to core value of business - Maintain clean, orderly work areas and equipment - Ensure proper and effective operation of equipment and tools, report repairs and/or issues to team lead or supervisor - Ensure all parts and surfaces are free from defects - Monitor quality of own work and immediately report defective material, unusual conditions, and/or operating difficulties to team lead or supervisor - Perform light maintenance on tools, equipment, machines, and other devices used in the normal course of the work performed - Read work orders - Utilize small tools such as grinders to remove scratches, excess weld material and burrs - Assemble by hand, hand tools, portable power tools, or other equipment necessary to complete finished product - Coordinate staging and sequencing of parts, production items, and product components - Load/unload parts, items, and components using hand truck, pallet jacks, hoists, cranes, and other mechanical aids - Daily documentation of work performed for required production records - Team player, assisting other team members and departments as needed with other duties not routine to position - Punctual, on time, ready to work, every day Assembly Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Valid driver's license - Prior experience in a manufacturing environment - 1 year of previous experience - Mechanically inclined - Positive attitude - Ability to communicate both verbally and written - Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and as a team - Attention to detail - Process improvement mindset - Safety oriented - Excellent attendance - Lift 50lbs with assistance - Sit, stand, walk, bend, grasp, push, pull, crawl, climb, twist, reach, and work at heights - Perform repetitive motions - Plant environment with potential exposure to bad weather, excessive heat/cold, and/or excessive noise springfield@qpsemployment.com IND061 About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
