CAD Operator (Electrical Design)

Job Title:CAD Operator(Electrical Design)

Location: Lockport, LA

POSITION OVERVIEW:A CAD Operator incorporates mark-ups on drawings and develops basic design in AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, or other engineering design software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Performs review of drawings to provide feedback on safety, function, and contract requirements.

* Conducting field inspections to ensure installation compliance with design specifications.

* Reviews model and production drawings from other disciplines for compliance and integration with overall vessel systems.

* Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.

* Support Functional Engineering Group to ensure Deliverables to Production as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires 3 years of drafting, construction design, or similar field experience in electrical design.
• Marine AutoCAD/ShipConstructor experience preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Technical College Training in CAD operations preferred.
• General knowledge of design currently performed within an Engineering department.
